Affordable Family Fun

If you’re planning to get away with the family and you’re looking for cheap holidays from Ireland, now is a great time to book. The summer might be drawing to a close but by booking for September or October, not only have you got your pick of the late deals, you’re also travelling in a typically quieter and less expensive time of year. The peak holiday period is June to August, and holidays booked within this time frame are usually more expensive than those booked in April and May, or September and October. If you book right at the start or end of the season you may find that some activities such as kids’ clubs have been closed, but on the plus side you’ll often enjoy a much quieter and less crowded stay.

Of course this only works if you’re not travelling with school age children. Should you need to stick within the school holiday period, your next window of opportunity is the half term break in October. At this time of year you’ll still find a number of tail-end holiday bargains, but you may need to compromise as most hotels become more expensive during the school holidays. If price is a priority, try amending your search criteria by looking at alternative departure airports, a different resort, or even considering an alternative destination.

One sun-baked destination that regularly offers affordable prices all year round is Turkey. Famous for many things including its heavenly spas, delicious cuisine and bustling souks, Turkey is a hotbed of culture and what’s more, it’s got a fantastic coastline - complete with soft golden sands, shallow shores and plenty of local activities for all ages. There’s always a good choice of scheduled flights arriving in Bodrum, Dalaman or Antalya, but one of the easiest ways to get here is to book a package holiday. Take Direct Holidays for instance. Well-known for their great deals and cut-price holidays, you can book Turkey holidays at Direct Holidays and enjoy significant savings over other tour operators. Plus you’ll often find late deals and early booking discounts by the bucketload. It all helps to make things that little bit easier.
