How This Blog Started

I am an expat currently living in Europe.  I love to travel  and see places.  The first blogs  I had was in friendster and bravenet.  Since  friendster  already disappeared, I decided to start a new one in blogspot.  Through the help of good friends,  I acquire more knowledge  in blogging. If you want to start a blog and want to know  how to make a free website online , there are a lot of tutorials you can find in the net.

This blog shares mostly about my travel and adventures in Europe. I am happy to announce that I already visited around 30 countries worldwide and most of it are in Europe. I am still  looking forward of visiting more countries this year when time and finances  allows.

I hope I  have more time  sharing my travel experiences to you.  I felt blessed if I do so.  Have a great one to all!

About My Euro and Adventure Blog

Happy Easter everyone! I hope that everyone had a great and wonderful celebration of Easter week. Yes, we had a simple but great one. I guess as a blogger it is important for me to update once in a while the standing of this blog. I tried to type tonight the title of this blog in Google Search. I was surprised because I just found out that it is second to the list in Google search. I guess this is quite complicated if you are just new to blogging and you don't understand yet about SEO or Search Engine Optimization, free web directory, pagerank, traffic and other terminologies that a blogger need to understand.

When I was still new to blogging, I never understand the above terms. I am thankful that through the help of fellow bloggers and by reading articles about this online, I understand now how important these terms are. We are finally done with dinner. A salmon fish baked in butter with pepper, garlic salt and Parmesan eaten with rice and sliced tomato is good every Friday especially when you are fasting. Anyway, I am especially sharing about blogging your travel and adventures. As of now, there are millions of bloggers around the world. Some share about their lives, hobbies, jobs, fashion, etc. If you have to ask about me, I have a lot blogs already as you can see. Just navigate my header and you will be there.

I share travel photos through blogging. This is where I also share my personal experiences, thoughts, ideas and opinions. Nowadays there are already a lot of blogging platform. Some are old ones and some new ones are still existing. One of this is jurnl. I visited their site and I am convinced that it is also a good one. I am even planning to make another blog with this platform. One of the best features of this site is that, it is also asocial network where you can connect with old friends or simply meet new friends.

Horror in Amstetten and the monster named Josef Fritzl

Have you been in Amstetten? Have you heard or read the story about the so-called "monster father" named Josef Fritzl? I have been reading Neumarkter Tagblatt, a local German newspaper here in Germany since Monday about Josef Fritzl. It is always in the front page for 4 days row now. Before I begin with this horrible story let me tell you first a bit about Amstetten.

Amstetten, as you can see in the google map below is a town in Lower Austria. It is the capital of Amstetten District. Why I know this place? During my adventure last June 2007 in Austria, we passed by in Amstetten boarding a train. Me and my friend saw a lot of towns and municipalities as we rode the train from Salzburg to Vienna. That was a very long trip.
What about Josef Fritzl? As described by Neumarkter Tagblatt newspaper, he was called "The monster father" after raping more than thousand times his own daughter and locking her on their basement for 24 years? Can you imagine a life in the basement without seeing light for 24 years? Fritzl's daughter named Elizabeth was raped since she was 11 years old. She also has 7 children with her own father wherein 6 were alive and 1 was dead after some hours of giving birth. The baby was also burned in the oven by his own father and grandfather at the same time.

Can you imagine this horror? How can a father do this to his child? I know we already heard a lot of stories about children who are sexually abused by their own father. But this story is different. It is very horrible, terrible, hideous and dreadful. What else can I say? It totally shocked me and I can't fathom on my mind how can a father do that to his own child? Is he in his normal mind? What can you say about this my friends? I know I can't judge people because I don't have the right to do so. But if ever you have to ask me of the kind of sentence that Fritzl had done, I would say, he must pay for it by being sentenced to life imprisonment. I also can't say that he will be sentenced to death because I believed that only God can take away people's lives. Anyway, today if I'm not he is already sentenced to life's imprisonment. I believed that is a fair and just verdict.

"Police spokesman Franz Polzer told CNN that 73-year-old Josef Fritzl admitted holding his daughter, Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, hostage in the windowless cell and fathering seven children by her.

"The mother had memories [of the outside world] and got used to the situation," Polzer told a press conference Monday afternoon. "The others knew nothing else."

The main question reverberating from the small Austrian town: How could a man keep his daughter locked in his basement for 24 years, where she gave birth to seven of his children while her mother and three of those children lived upstairs without an inkling of the horrors in the cellar?

Travelling While Earning Extra Income

Travel, travel travel and more travel..that's what I always wanted. It is one of the many dreams that I have in my life. I gladly say that I have been to some countries already. I always find it very interesting if I see different places and experience different cultures too. Through blogging, I am able to share the many amazing places that I have been to. This is the reason why this blog was created. This is especially about my travel and adventures here in Europe. It is always a great feeling for me when I see new places. I Love Hohenfels

This is entrance of the Church. You can also see above the Organ in the middle. This is where the Choir also stays during the mass. Look at that beautiful ceiling!!..I love it and truly admired the artist who did it. If I am not mistaken, the famous Asam Bros. painted the ceiling of this Church.

Time passes by so quickly. I will be turning 6 years living in this beautiful and small town of Hohenfels here in Germany. I already consider this place my second home and I truly love it. There might not be a lot of shopping escapades here and I find it good for saving money. I need to be frugal this year anyway..hehehe..

This afternoon I met this very nice guy named Ryan in St. Ullrich Church here in Hohenfels. I did not wonder anymore why he is also taking pictures of the Church especially the beautiful fresco on the ceiling. This Church's painting on its ceiling are truly amazing. I salute and give respect to the people who made this Church during the 1700. Truly an amazing great work of art!! Lord Mayor's parade in London

I was lucky to witness the Lord Mayors parade in London last Nov . 08, 2008. I was there! This parade only happens when there is a newly elected Mayor in London. Sorry guys, for now I don't know exactly how often they have this. any idea out there?? My friend in London told me that, As long as there is a newly elected mayor, then this parade is taking place. It was raining very strong as we watched this parade. See the street, it is very wet...I guess this is the weather in London all the time. you can be very lucky if it is sunny when you go there!! happy trip in advance!!

I Want my Own Domain In This Site

How are you doing guys? I am doing fine but only a bit tired. The weather now in the country where I live here in Europe is getting really cold. Imagine a sub zero temperature from negative three until negative twenty degree centigrade? It is really freezing cold! This the reason why I just stay at home and do some things. It is good for me because I can't go shopping..hehe! guess I need to save some money for next vacation or probably for buying a domain for this site. How about that idea guys? Before I do that, let me tell you first where this photo was taken. This was taken during my visit to London last October and November last year. This was in "The Believe it or Not Museum". It was really cool there even I did not have the chance to really go inside the museum where there are a lot of things that are unbelievable. But at least I have some idea when I saw it in the entrance..In fact they have some things to see there, where you can also say"Are these things true"??..Really cool! I can't hardly believe it.

Back to the main topic.. As you can see guys, this site still don't have its own domain name. I am really planning to purchase one but can't find the cheapest on the net. I still even have other sites that needs to have its own domain names . I will slowly buy some in the near future. For as low as 2.97 pounds per year. This is the cheapest so far that I found in the net. I guess blogosphere is getting a better place to enjoy now. This is simply because of UK's cheapest domain name pricing. The best with it is that everything you want is already included in the package. Isn't it great guys!! watch out for the domain name of this site!! I have to think and consider the best name first. Any idea?? thanks in advance!

Up Up on London Eye

I was finally there. Dream came true! The famous London Eye, I finally rode in it. You can't imagine you are at the top seeing the bird's eye view of London city. That buildings with the lights are the Parliament Houses and you can also see the Big Ben Tower. Just an important tip, it is better to get a London Pass if you are planning to visit museums or any rides there like the London Eye. London Eye has became the famous landmark of modern London since its opening in March 2000. Imagine if you ride London eye capsule, you can see up to 4o kilometers around London. Per experience, I don't have that much scene because it is already twilight as I rode in it. As you can see in the photo here, it is a little bit foggy outside because it was also raining. At least I had this great experience once in my life to ride in this famous Millemium Wheel...truly amazing experience!!

Nuremberg Christmas market

This is the Big Bear in Nuremberg Christmas Market. This was taken last year as we went there. I hope to visit it once again before it is ending. Nuremberg Christmas market is one of the famous in whole Germany. It is estimated that almost 6 million people visit this city every year just to witness this great Christmas celebration..I hope you have a great Christmas this year!!

Shopping In Italy

Nove, Italy is just a great place for shopping porcelain and ceramics like here in this picture. This was taken in Devis Ceramiche last April, 2006. It was the last time I went shopping there. I was there already for three times. The first one was in October 2004 and second one was in October 2005. I got some nice stuffs with me from Devis.

I hope to be backed there early next year. I am even planning to organize a trip. We will see. I'll try my best to do it so that my friends will also enjoy shopping this stuff. I know for sure they will love it! keep hoping..That's all for today and see you tomorrow again!!
