Europe Travel in Windsor Castle in England

I wish I live in this castle! Not as queen or princess but even just an ordinary worker. I am just kidding guys. Anyway, don't you know that there are more than five hundred people who currently live and work in Windsor Castle? That is the reason why it is so far the largest inhabited castle in the world.

This is a medieval castle located in Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. This is also a royal residence of the British royal family.

I had the chance to visit this castle last 2008. Thanks to all my friends who toured me in England during my three weeks vacation there.

I am happy visiting one of the major tourist attractions in Britain, the Windsor Castle. That visit was worth it. Sad to say during our tour, no pictures are allowed to take inside the castle rooms.

striking a pose in Windsor...with the St George's Chapel and the Round Tower as the background.

Windsor Castle in Berkshire, England

This is a part of Windsor castle in Berkshire, England. The castle was built from around 1070-1350 during the time of William The Conqueror. It is known to be the largest inhabbited castle in the world. It is also known ot be one of the three principal residence of the British monarch. The castle has a floor area of about 45,000 square metres (480,000 sq ft).

It was a nice experience visiting this castle last 2008.
taken from outside of the castle. I don't normally planned to go inside during our visit last November 2008. Finally, I decided to go inside taking the opportunity of already being there. Sad to say, taking images inside the castle rooms are prohibited.

My Euro Travel in Windsor Castle, England

I randomly picked a photo from my picture files for my Euro Travel entry this afternoon. I landed in Windsor Castle in England. Here is the picture taken during our walked around the castle. Before we went there, I told a friend that I don't want to go inside the castle because I know for sure I will pay for entrance when going inside. As we already arrived in Windsor in the county of Berkshire, I changed my mind and decided to pay for the entrance fee to watch inside the castle. I guess it cost around 14.50 Sterling pounds. You can go there by train from London. It is not even an hour ride. Here I am enjoying my walk around the castle. Sad to say, you are not allowed to take pictures inside the rooms of the castles.

Windsor Castle in England

I was talking tonight with my HB while we were watching TV. I told him that time truly pass-by so quickly. I also mentioned that next week comes March already. It's more than a year also that I visited Warwick Castle in England. You can see the exact date when I saw this marvelous castle in the picture above. It was truly stupefying! I also wish to share a travel tip for you. Always bring with you some medicines or tablets especially pain relievers when traveling. You don't know when you experience headache or toothache anytime during your travel. Both pains already happened to me but toothache is the worst one. You might not visit a dentist immediately for check-up.

Lastly I took the photo above at the main entrance where the visitors always enter when visiting the castle. This is such an amazing architecture and how the British government preserved it. Don't you know that Windsor Castle is the biggest occupied castle in the world? Yes it is! I guess that's all for now. Good evening folks!

Visit To Windsor Castle in England

Weekend is almost ending! I hope you had a wonderful one! Let's go travel again! I believed I already posted some photos of Windsor Castle before. Don't you know that Windsor castle is the most inhabited castle in the world? Yes, it is! As my friend from London brought me here, I told myself that I will not inside the castle. As I saw the castle from outside, I was truly amazed by it. I decided to go inside and paid for the entrance. It was quite expensive but since I was already there, I already took the chance to see the inside of it. Sad to say taking photos from inside the castle rooms are forbidden. This castle is full of history and is considered to be one of the major tourist attraction in England. Never miss it when you visit this country!

Another highlight for tonight is about austin weight loss. Don't you know that I am trying to lose excess weight until now. As I was shopping inside my closet yesterday, I saw some clothes which doesn't fit to me anymore. I decided to put it inside my Balikbayan box. In fact some of these clothes especially the blouses are not yet worn by me. I hope I can lose some fat before I will go home for vacation. I am still trying.

My Euro Travel in Windsor Castle in England

Let's travel again and see interesting places in Europe! This time I am featuring the Windsor Castle in England. Don't you know that this is the largest occupied castle in the whole world? Yes it is and it is truly amazing! As me and my friend were riding the train going to this place, we said that we will not go inside the castle. But as I saw the size and grandeur of the castle outside, I decided to go inside. I guess the entrance is around 15.00 sterling pounds. Sad to say taking pictures inside the castle rooms are forbidden. What is important is that I was in this Medieval castle and experience how beautiful it is! The gate you see in the picture with the guards is where we exited after taking a tour inside the castle.

My Euro Travel to the Most Occupied Castle in the World, Windor Castle in England

Am I right with my title? I believed so! According to the book I bought about Windsor castle, it is considered to be the largest occupied castle in the world. It is also considered to be the oldest in terms of continuous occupation. It is an honor to visit this castle! Another dream come true! To show you an evidence is the picture I have below.

Windsor Castle is located in Windsor in the English country of Berkshire. If I am not mistaken, it is around forty minutes by train from London. I had a very nice feeling as me and a friend were touring at Windsor. Sad to say, taking photos inside the castle rooms are not allowed.
I had a great time touring at this historical place, The Windsor Castle in England

"Together with Buckingham Palace in London and Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, it is one of the principal official residences of the British monarch. Queen Elizabeth II spends many weekends of the year at the castle, using it for both state and private entertaining. Her other two residences, Sandringham House and Balmoral Castle, are the Royal Family's private homes.

Most of the Kings and Queens of England, later Kings and Queens of Great Britain, and later still kings and queens of the Commonwealth realms, have had a direct influence on the construction and evolution of the castle, which has been their garrison fortress, home, official palace, and sometimes their prison. Chronologically the history of the castle can be traced through the reigns of the monarchs who have occupied it. When the country has been at peace, the castle has been expanded by the additions of large and grand apartments; when the country has been at war, the castle has been more heavily fortified. This pattern has continued to the present day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windsor_Castle
