Visit to the Furniture Store in Regensburg

When someone gets bored, one thing to get rid of her boredom is to visit some stores and go window shopping. She loves especially going to furniture stores. She loves knowing and getting home ideas, latest trends about home and garden decorations and more.

It is quite a long time now since I visited a furniture shop. I guess, I was not bored at all because I have been very busy the past months. There are so many things that keep me busy including my travel escapades in Europe. I am planning to visit again this big furniture shop Regensburg to look for undermount and more Christmas decors.

Besides, I was quite bored this month  because I don't  get the chance to travel. I was sick for almost two  weeks and besides budget is quite low. I have some things to consider more important than travelling. Travels will resume next month again. I will be visiting some Christmas markets in Europe. Thanks God I am doing well again!

Girls' Night Out in Regensburg

Sometimes we just need to unwind, have fun and enjoy life. I always do it because I believed that life is too short and we have to make the best out of it. This is also the reason why I go out with friends most of the times. I seldom go to the disco, probably three to four times in a year. I do entertain myself by travelling all the time.

One of my favorite place to go is at Funpark in Regensburg. I simply love their disco music. Besides they have three areas where you can choose the kind of music to listen and dance with. They have  great sound systems  and I guess they got their exceptional m-patch 2 at musician's friend. You will truly have fun especially if you like discos  or simply want to be entertained through  music.

Anyway, the last time I visited Funpark with friends was last year. We truly had fun dancing to the disco sounds. I don't really drink that much when I go out. Drinking soda or a glass of wine is enough for me. What I want is simply to have fun with friends. Thinking of going back there anytime soon.

Christmas Market in Regensburg

Christmas Markets are mostly over now but  there are still some cities who are having it until the end of December. If I am not mistaken, it is in Jena or Weimar in the state of Thuringia in Germany who is celebrating it until December 29 every  year.

One of the markets I visited this year was in Regensburg. I could still remember  we ate in an Asian  buffet restaurant in this city  and  visited the Christmas market afterwards.  We had a difficult time trying to find a parking lot  for our car.  If there  is only a parking lift available, then it might not be too difficult to find parking for  our car. Finally,  we found a parking space when  one of the car owner's  left.

The Christmas market in Regensburg is unique on its own. We had fun walking around especially looking at all the goods sold in many  booths and stalls. Some of my friends shopped for  Christmas souvenirs  there.

I always love going to the Christmas markets! Next year again! Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year 2013!

Visit to the University Clinic in Regensburg

The University Clinic in Regensburg is located in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Regensburg. It is a hospital and at the same time a public research university.

I have been to this hospital to visit some friends who were confined there. My latest visit was around three weeks ago, to visit a friend whose daughter is sick. Since we don't know which station we have to go, we went to the information to ask which room we should enter. As usual, you can see the nurses and other faculties wearing medical shoes and uniforms.

Our friend and her daughter were so happy during our visit. We even played with Dre who is currently in the intensive station of the hospital. After around
 hours of visit, we left the hospital.

To all the readers and viewers of this blog, I am appealing to all of you to please pray for the recovery of our friend's daughter. Dre is diagnosed with leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Please help us pray for her fast recovery. Thank you so much!

Having Fun at Regensburg Dultfest

It was truly fun! We went to the festival in Regensburg, Bavaria  last Monday. I accompanied some friends from the United States who are currently visiting Europe.  After going around the festival ground, we went to  one of the beer tents at the Dultfest, the name of the  fest.

It was  nice sitting there while drinking beer, eating Bavarian foods  and listening to the music.  Yes, there was a live band playing in the beer tent. I am not sure if they are using parker guitars but they really played good. Most of their songs  are  Bavarian.

Festivals in Germany like the Regensburg Dultfest is one of the best ways  to experience  German culture especially the Bavarian one. This is also one of the reasons why I love Germany.

I guess  the festival is ending tomorrow. You still have time to visit there. Have fun!

Shopping at Arcaden Regensburg, Bavaria

I was asked last weekend if there are big shopping malls in Regensburg, Bavaria. Yes, there are some. One of it is Arcaden. I am trying to remember the last time we were there. The image I had here was taken last February 2011. This means that my last visit in Arcaden was over a year ago.

I should be coming back there sometime next month to look for desktops. Arcaden has a lot of shops and restaurants inside. It is also very accessible by car and train. In fact, it is located near the main train station in Regensburg. There is also a parking lot there and it is for free up to one hour.

If you are a shopaholic, this place will be a paradise for you because they simply have a wide selection of shops. I might see you there! Below is the address if you are planning to drive there;

Christmas Market in Regensburg, Germany

Now is the time for Christmas markets in Germany and in some other places in the world. I have been to some Christmas markets in Europe and I always love it. This year, I visited some of these markets in Germany and yes in Madrid, Spain also.

It was my second time to visit the Christmas market in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany last Dec. 20, 2011. It is not so big compared to the one in Nuremberg but it is fine. Visiting have fun visiting it to. As usual you can find a lot of Christmas decors and ornaments, handmade items, toys, books, nutcrackers, variety of German foods and many others in any Christmas markets in Europe.

It is always good to see and to experience the custom and tradition of a certain place or country.

The Regensburger Dom or Regensburg Cathedral is a prime example of Gothic architecture in southern Germany. It is dedicated to St. Peter and considered to be the famous landmark of the city Regensburg in the state of Bavaria, Germany.

The Cathedral is also the burial place of important bishops, including Johann Michael von Sailer (1829-1832, memorial built by Konrad Eberhard in the south chancel), Georg Michael Wittmann (1832-1833, memorial also by Konrad Eberhard in the north chancel), and Archbishop Michael Buchberger (1927-1961, likewise in the north chancel). In the western part of the central nave stands a bronze memorial for the Prince-Bishop Cardinal Philipp Wilhelm (d. 1598), the brother of Duke Maximilian I of Bavaria. wikipedia

Winter Shopping in Regensburg

This is the best time of the year to go shopping. Until now, winter sale is still going on in Germany. As we visited, a shoe store last Friday in Regensburg, most of their shoes are on sale. I was looking for kamik rain boots but they don't have it. During this rainy winter season, it is good to wear shoes like these. Winter shopping is still not over but I guess I don't need any winter stuffs right now since I already have a lot of it.

Remembering the Dultfest in Regensburg

Good morning everyone! It seems that it is over a month now since I visited the Herbtsdult in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is really a nice place to visit. This is a sort of Autumn festival celebrated every year on the month of September. It is also different from other festivals because you can also see here some stores and shops selling different products from oven to kithenwares, clothing, toys, books, food items, gadgets and a lot more. I have been to this festival thrice already and I always love its atmosphere. For sure I will be coming back again next year, in God's will. Goodnights folks and have a wonderful weekend!

Danube River by Regensburg, Germany

It seems that the sky is so cloudy in my image here. The river that you see in the photo below is called Danube, also known as Donau in German. It is considered to be the longest river that flows the European Union countries and the second longest in the whole of Europe next to Volga. Danube River also flows in many of Germany's cities and towns. Some of which include Regensburg, Passau, Kelheim, Donauwörth, Deggendorf , Neuburg an der Donau, Ehingen, Tuttlingen, Munderkingen, Straubing and some other more.

Goliath-Haus in Regensburg, Germany

I can't find a lot of information about Goliath-Haus. I will just give my own description about it. David against Goliath is a painting found in the Altstadt or Old City of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. According to the shield below, it was built around in the middle of 13 century and was under the possession of Thundorfer Family. Here are some images I took during our visit last month.

Let's go a bit sightseeing today. I know there are a lot of problems that came out after a Vulcan in Iceland exploded. Thousands of flights in Europe were cancelled because of this natural catastrophe. Today some flights in Germany and other countries in Europe are already resuming again.

Back to my main topic about sightseeing in Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. We went again to this city around two weeks ago. One of the sights we pass-by is the Goliath house. We also took a walk at the famous and historical Stone Bridge. I wish I can go walking and sightseeing in different cities in Europe so that I don't need to take a look at Clinicallix reviews. My Euro Travel in Herbstdult Festival in Regensburg, Germany

Another celebration is here again. Herbstdult Festival in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany is still going on until now. We had the chance to visit it last Saturday, September 5, 2009. The festival started last August 28, 2009 and runs until September 13, 2009. It is located in Dultplatz in Regensburg near Danube River. A lot of people visited the festival last weekend. There are three big beer tents in the place. There are also a lot of rides, games and different entertainments in the said celebration.

The weather in Germany is getting a little bit cold now, if ever you want to visit Herbstdult Festival, you better bring a good jacket with you unless you want to stay inside the beer tents all the time. My Euro Travel in Regensburg, Germany

Let's go back this time to Germany! This time I am giving you an information about the capital of the Bavarian administrative region in Upper Palatinate which is Regensburg. This city is also known as Ratisbon and in other language like Latin, Ratisbona. It is located in Bavaria, Germany at the confluence of the Danube and Regen rivers.

The image I had below was taken at the famous and historical Stone Bridge also known in German as Steinerne Bruecke. You can also see from afar the Cathedral in Regensburg named after St. Peter. This city is in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally this photo was taken as we attended the Buergerfest Regensburg. more updates later!

My Euro Travel in Regensburg, Germany

This is not the first time that I visited the city of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany. Yesterday was a very memorable one because it was the first time that I witnessed the so-called Bürgerfest, one of the cities biggest festival. There were a lot of people around the old city. I was really amazed as we went walking around because there were thousands of visitors coming from some countries and neighboring towns. To the east lies the Bavarian Forest. Regensburg is the capital of the Bavarian administrative region Upper Palatinate. The large medieval center of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visiting The Auto Show in Regensburg, Germany

Let's go back to Germany this time! I hope that you have some fun reading my posts here and at the same time enjoying the pictures which I share to all of you. Last Saturday, May 9, 2009, we visited the Auto Show in Regensburg in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It was a great time last weekend with very nice and friendly weather. A lot of automobile dealers participated during the show and at the same time selling their cars also. You can see different cars and automobiles from the old ones to the latest models. It was very interesting. For me the highlight of the show was the old timer cars which the owners also displayed for public viewing. See the one in the picture and with the new model..wink!

Am I in Greece?

I am not really in Greece.. This was taken in Walhalla located in Donaustauf, Regensburg in Germany..Walhalla is known as the "Hall of Fame", built by King Ludwig I of Bavaria!! it is a very nice building!! such a work of arts and architecture!! It was modelled after the Parthenon in Greece..hope to visit Greece next time!!

The Dom (Cathedral) is a very interesting example of pure German Gothic and counts as the main work of Gothic architecture in Bavaria. It was founded in 1275 and completed in 1634, with the exception of the towers, which were finished in 1869. The interior contains numerous interesting monuments, including one of Peter Vischer's masterpieces. Adjoining the cloisters are two chapels of earlier date than the cathedral itself, one of which, known as the old cathedral, goes back perhaps to the 8th century. The official choir for the liturgical music at St Peter's Cathedral are the famous Regensburger Domspatzen.
