Reclining Woman by Henry Moore in Leeds, England

The monument below was created by the famous English Sculptor named Henry Moore. I even made another picture from the description of this monument so that I won't forget it. I need the help of the experts from wikipedia to know more about Henry Moore. Below is the Reclining Woman made of Bronze given by The Henry Moore Foundation.
Henry Spencer Moore OM CH FBA (30 July 1898 – 31 August 1986) was an English sculptor and artist. He was best known for his abstract monumental bronze sculptures which are located around the world as public works of art.

His forms are usually abstractions of the human figure, typically depicting mother-and-child or reclining figures. Moore's works are usually suggestive of the female body, apart from a phase in the 1950s when he sculpted family groups. His forms are generally pierced or contain hollow spaces. Many interpreters liken the undulating form of his reclining figures to the landscape and hills of his birthplace, Yorkshire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Moore

Travelling and Shopping in England

Another week is finally here and October is almost ending! I just remember my trip in England last year. Time flies by so fast that it has been a year now since I visited England. I also did some shopping in England. Not that much because I already have overweight luggage. Some stuffs were even left in a friend's house there. The picture you see in the photo was taken in Thornton's Arcade, a shopping mall in Leeds, England. I was amazed how many shopping malls I saw in Leeds last time. I only went window shopping there with a friend Ross. I thought shopping in England is expensive but you can also find a lot of shops and stores that offer cheap items.

Now I don't have to worry about overweight luggage when I travel because I can already go for online shopping. I also love to shop for bargains or promo items. I guess Buxr is another site where you can find interesting stuffs that are on sale. Being a bargain hunter, I believed I will love this site. Perfect timing because I am searching for some gadgets that I need when I travel like USB flash drive and HB is also looking for a new Motherboard for his netbook. I also found cheap laptops on their hot deals. I want to add this site to my fave list of shopping. You will not only find cheap items here but also online friends. Are you a bargain hunter? Join this site and have fun shopping too! I love that Lenovo netbook but I still need to save for my long vacation back home. have fun viweing the photos here!

Visit To Leeds City Market in England

I am remembering the days as I visited Leeds in England. That was a long nice walk we had in this city while enjoying the sights around. It was already cold that time in Leeds because that was also winter time as I had a trip there. We also went inside the Leeds City Market, where you can see the building on my background photo. My friend want to buy Apidexin but she was not able to find the right store inside. We are also in a hurry to go out from that building so that we can see more interesting sights there. We happened to pass by at their Christmas market but it was still not officially opened to the public. That was only a one day trip but it was worthy!

Shopping at Victoria Quarter in Leeds, England

We did shopping in Victoria Quarter Shopping Centre in Leeds, England. I cannot forget that day because it is embedded in the picture which you see below. It was last November 13, 2008 that I went shopping with a good friend name Ros. Victoria Quarter is considered to be the famous shopping centre in North of England. The shopping centre was very attractive at that time because you can see a lot of Christmas decors and colorful lights around the mall. A huge Christmas tree was also located on the centre of the mall that adds attraction to it. We went around the mall to find for netbooks but it seems I can't find the one that fits to my pocket. You know what I mean guys. here is picture for you to see.

Leeds, England

The City Market in Leeds, England..there are a lot of shops here where you can buy cheap things and stuffs.....visit England, visit Leeds too!! a little info about Leeds

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leeds

Leeds (pronunciation (help·info)) is located on the River Aire in West Yorkshire, England. It is the urban core and administrative centre of the wider metropolitan borough of the City of Leeds. The county borough of Leeds was awarded city status in 1893, but in 1974 this status was transferred to the larger new metropolitan borough named "City of Leeds". Thus Leeds, although commonly referred to as a "city", does not have this legal status unless the wider area is being discussed.

Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the recorded history of Leeds can be traced to the 5th century when the Kingdom of Elmet was covered by the forest of "Loidis", the origin of the name Leeds. During the Industrial Revolution, Leeds developed into a major industrial centre for the production and trade of wool, before emerging as a centre for commerce and higher education, being the location of the University of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University and Leeds Trinity and All Saints. Today the city is one of the largest financial and legal centres outside London.

According to the 2001 UK census, the population of the Leeds Urban Sub-division (an ONS measure was 443,247, whereas the wider City of Leeds metropolitan district has a population of 761,200 (mid-2007 estimate) and is one of the eight largest English cities outside London that form the English Core Cities Group. It is near the centre of the West Yorkshire metropolitan county which has a population of over 2.1 million.
