The Palace of Westminster in London, England

How would you like to see this time The Palace of Westminster in London, England? I would like to ask for apology because the photo is not so good. You can probably see the typical weather in London. The sky is grey and it seems that it is going to rain. A travel tip for you: be sure to always have an umbrella if you are visiting London. Here is a little information about The Palace of Westminster.

The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament, is a complex of buildings in London. It is the seat of the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (the House of Lords and the House of Commons). The palace lies on the north bank of the River Thames in the London borough of the City of Westminster, close to the government buildings of Whitehall.

The palace contains around 1,100 rooms, 100 staircases and 5 kilometres (3 mi) of corridors. Although the building mainly dates from the 19th century, remaining elements of the original historic buildings include Westminster Hall, used today for major public ceremonial events such as lyings in state, and the Jewel Tower. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Westminster

My Euro Travel-Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in London

Another dream come true! I finally saw the famous Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in London, England. Even the cold winter time cannot stop tourists and visitors to see these famous landmarks of London. The Big Ben which is also called Clock Tower is the biggest clock I had ever seen. It was an amazing experience!

Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north-eastern end of the Palace of Westminster in London,[1] and is often extended to refer to the clock or the clock tower as well. Big Ben is the largest four-faced chiming clock and the third-tallest free-standing clock tower in the world. It celebrated its 150th anniversary in May 2009 (the clock itself first ticking on 31st May), during which celebratory events took place.

The nearest London Underground station is Westminster on the Circle, District and Jubilee lines.

The monument you see at the background is the Memorial of Queen Victoria in front of Buckingham Palace. These are the Royal Guards who had a parade and at the same time the changing of the Royal Guards. I can't imagine how many people visit this place everyday. Amazing!

I'll Let You Visit This Time The Tower Bridge in London, England

Have you been to London, England? Have you seen the Tower Bridge in London? If not I am sharing my photo during my trip to England last year. This is the side view of the Tower Bridge in London. Just a little information; don't confuse your mind with London Bridge and Tower Bridge, they are totally different. I even thought before that London Bridge is the one going up and down like in the song, "London Bridge is falling down". That is wrong. Tower bridge is the one falling down everytime there are ships passing by down under the bridge. London Tower is also different. It is a castle located near Tower bridge..I will share more photos next time. I hope you have an idea a now! have fun viewing the pictures here!
