Shopping for Souvenirs in Budapest

It was my third visit in  Hungary's capital last December 2013 but still  I want to visit it  again. I haven't got enough  of  Budapest yet and I still want to explore it again. This city is simply amazing considering it historic sights and monuments.

View of the Parliament and the Danube River from  the Fishersman's Bastion.
Budapest, the capital of Hungary is  one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. That is not a question for me and the reason why I keep on coming back in this city.

The main reason of my third visit in Budapest was to witness its Christmas markets. Indeed, it was very interesting. During this time, you can find a lot of vendors in their kiosks and stalls selling a lot of stuffs from home decors to Christmas decors, kitchen stuffs, clothing, winter accessories, candles, crystals, woodcrafts, foods and more. I was actually looking for a table cloth linen in Budapest but due to limited time, I was not able to find it. Good to know that premiertablelinens.com is available online. I can browse it and see what I want. I want to give it as presents to my sisters when I go home for holiday this spring season.

Shopping in Budapest can be a great experience and can be fun. Go to  Pest if you are a luxury shopping. It is the most expensive part of the city. You'll find Hungarian linens and lace, pottery, and other items, in souvenir shops. Don't also miss the Great Market Hall (Nagy Vásárcsarnok) at Fővám tér. It is recently renovated markethall with essential atmosphere: You should know how to bargain if you plant to buy something.

I am  happy to  bring home again some souvenirs from Budapest. As usual, postcards and  fridge magnets are always present.

Shopping for Souvenirs in Orta San Giulio, Italy

cafes and shops in Orta San Giulio, Italy.
After a short ride with the ferry to Orta San Giulio, we finally arrived in this town safely. Our tour guide toured us around the city. I went together with a group of German tourists during my visit there.

After our sightseeing tour, I decided to go to some shops to buy for souvenirs. I bought some postcards and fridge magnet and did not find an anti fatigue mat. The first two are usually the common souvenirs  I collect and buy everytime I travel.

Orta San Giulio is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 km northeast of Turin and about 40 km northwest of Novara.

That was only a short visit in this town but I enjoyed the historical sights I experienced there.

It's Summer Sale in Germany

Hello to all shopaholics out there! This is the perfect time of the year to go shopping in Germany and maybe in whole of Europe. The summer sale in Germany already started two weeks ago. Until now, there are still a lot of sales everywhere from shoes to clothing, accessories, bags, gadgets, electronics  and I also found some jewelry deals in the malls where we went to the past weeks. If you want to save money while enjoying shopping, this is the best time for you to go out and start your shopping escapade.

Happy shopping to all!

Shopping at Arcaden Regensburg, Bavaria

I was asked last weekend if there are big shopping malls in Regensburg, Bavaria. Yes, there are some. One of it is Arcaden. I am trying to remember the last time we were there. The image I had here was taken last February 2011. This means that my last visit in Arcaden was over a year ago.

I should be coming back there sometime next month to look for desktops. Arcaden has a lot of shops and restaurants inside. It is also very accessible by car and train. In fact, it is located near the main train station in Regensburg. There is also a parking lot there and it is for free up to one hour.

If you are a shopaholic, this place will be a paradise for you because they simply have a wide selection of shops. I might see you there! Below is the address if you are planning to drive there;

Friedenstrasse 23, 93053 Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany

Shopping in Madrid, Spain

Visiting Madrid without shopping can be a boring experience especially for women. I hope you agree with me ladies. As we were still in Granada, we were already asking if there is an El Corte Ingles (The English Cut) department store nearby.

Finally during our visit to Madrid on our 6th day of trip to Spain, we finally had the chance to go inside El Corte Ingles. I was looking for puma coupons before we left to Madrid but I was not able to find one. My friend was also searching for Burberry bags but the El Corte Ingles where we went to in Madrid don't have it. The saleslady told us that they have it in their main department store. We were not able to go there due to shortage of time. I just bought a winter cap in this famous department store in Spain. Of course, I did bought some souvenirs from postcards to magnet, Spain travel guide, shot glass and some shirts.

I love Spain's capital city and I wish to go back there sometime in the future. The image here is one of the department stores of El Corte Ingles in Madrid.

Another Visit to Boleslawiec, Poland

Boleslawiec is a medieval town in Lower Silesian Voivodship, Poland. Pottery making is a long tradition in this town, thus being named as a as Miasto Ceramiki or "Ceramics City".

It was my second visit to this famous pottery town in Poland. My first visit was last May 2011. It was purely a pottery shopping trip. This time, we had the chance to have some sightseeing in its town center.

It was raining so hard when we drove to Poland last October 8, 2011 at 5:00 am. Together with some friends, we were very thankful that we arrived there and came home safely too. It was quite an adventure trip. My friend drove outside of Germany for the first time. I knew that she can do it. I admired her courage driving there.

Together with friends, I am quite happy and contented during our trip. It was a very adventurous trip and was full of surprises. One of these days, I will share some of the exciting experience we had there.

Here are some of the images I took during our visit.

Window Shopping at Debenhams Mall in Birmingham, England

Do you love shopping? If you happen to visit Birmingham in England in the future, don't miss to visit Debenhams. It is a famous British retailer operating under a department store in UK, Ireland and Denmark.

I had the chance to visit its store in Birmingham during my three weeks holiday in England that time. I don't remember seeing color ink cartridges during my window shopping in that mall. I just enjoyed looking around with a friend.

I found out that Debenhams has franchise stores in the Philippines. Here are the locations of it;
Makati City, Glorietta 4, Rustans Department Store
Mandaluyong City, Shangri-La Plaza Mall
Quezon City, TriNoma Mall
Santa Rosa, Laguna, Paseo de Santa Rosa Mall
Davao City, Abreeza Ayala Mall (soon to open)

Travel Souvenirs from Monaco

What do you do when you travel? Of course, there are a lot of things to do and experience. Some might only love seeing the sights of a certain place. Some want to experience the specialty or local delicacies of that place. Others might want to go shopping.

Monaco, officially known as the Principality of Monaco is one of the beautiful countries I visited in Europe. It is the second smallest country in the world, next to Vatican City.

I did some shopping in Monaco especially for travel souvenirs like postcards, magnet, caps and shirts. I would love to have some personalized key chains from that country but I don't find a shop that is making such souvenirs. Thanks to Personal Creations who gave me an idea of on how to make personalized travel souvenirs. I wish to visit again Monaco in the future.

Winter Garden Restaurant in Kadewe

Are you familiar with the Harrods in London, England? Yes, I am! because a friend of mine brought me there during my trip to England in 2007.

Now, I am talking about the second largest department store in Europe which is located in Berlin, Germany. Kaufhaus des Westens, called in English as Department Store of the West, usually abbreviated to KaDeWe, is a famous department store in Berlin. One of my favorite here is located at the top floor. It is called the Winter Garden Restaurant where I had a lunch. I guess, you need to take the best diet pills when you always eat in this restaurant. The foods are good and in many kinds and varieties. I was overwhelmed when I saw the different recipes of all kinds in this huge restaurant. It simply caught my weakness, food and eating! It was almost full during my visit.

I can't imagine when 40,000 to 50,000 of people visit this department store every day. It is simply because they have everything in here. Don't miss to go in KaDeWe when you visit Berlin. Also prepare for your shopping budget. I am happy with my DKNY leather boots and D&G travel bag from this store. It cost me some fortune but I am quite contented with it.

More images to come in my other sites.

Window Shopping In Zurich, Switzerland

WSV is finally here! This word simply means Winterschlussverkauf. It is a German word which means Winter sale in English. This is the best time of the year to go shopping for winter clothes and accessories because most, if not all of these items are on sale. I am planning to do a green shopping in a few weeks. Let me see what is in my budget. wink!

Anyway, I did had a window shopping during our visit in Zurich, Switzerland last December 2010. First of all, it was Sunday and most of the shops were closed. Second, the main reason why I visited is because of their Christmas market. I am happy that I found an opened shop that sells souvenir items. I was already contented with what I bought as travel souvenirs.

Here is one of the shops in Zurich, Switzerland.

Summer Shopping in Europe

I had some shopping escapades last month with my friend who visited me here in Europe. In every cities we visited like Rome, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Luxembourg, we always find things to shop especially for souvenir shirts, postcards, magnets, shot glasses and a lot more. I remembered when we went to Munich and she bought some nice petite clothing. She is so thin that she needs the extra small size. I cannot imagine how small she is and how big I am compared to her. Some friends from Brussels were telling her that her body size is the dream size of most women in their city. She also loves to shop and I believed she is a wise shopper. We had a great time together during our Europe tour. Here is one of the images we took in Brussels, Belgium.

Shopping in London, England

Let's go travel and go shopping again! This time I will share some pictures taking at London in England. I am trying to remember this famous shopping store in London where the two memorials for Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed are also found. I googled it and found its name. These pictures were taken in Harrods. Don't you know that Harrods is the worlds most famous luxury department Store, owned by Egyptian Billionaire, Al Fayed Mohamed? Yes, it is! We only went here for window shopping. I am trying to remember what did I bought here because I can't remember it right now. I am also trying to find my shopping receipts but also can't find one from this shop. I am not sure now if I found a receipt printer on sale at Harrods. I also want one of those Teddy bears at Harrods but I forgot to buy it because I am excited to see the two memorials of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed. I will try to search more images in my picture files especially the two memorials of Princess Diana and Dodi. Have fun watching the pictures here.

Shopping at Hiendl in Regensburg, Germany

Weekend is here again. It seems that we are having a busy weekend. That is also the reason why I am online again. We had to drive to Neumarkt today to take care of some things especially bringing HB's laptop for repair. Yesterday we also drove to Neumarkt and proceeded to Regensburg to make some furniture shopping. I want to buy an office furniture but it seems that I can't find a place for it inside the house. I ended up buying a shrank with a lot of drawers where I can organize my small stuffs. Below is Hiendl, a huge furniture shop in Regensburg, Germany. They sell a lot of products for all your house needs from garden to kitchen, living room, baby's stuffs, office furniture, bathroom furniture and a lot more. Sad to say, HB is still not done in installing the shrank because some volts are missing. He already called the customer service in this store and they said they will send it as soon as possible. I hope so because the other room is in chaos right now with a lot of stuffs scattering around.

Travelling and Shopping in England

Another week is finally here and October is almost ending! I just remember my trip in England last year. Time flies by so fast that it has been a year now since I visited England. I also did some shopping in England. Not that much because I already have overweight luggage. Some stuffs were even left in a friend's house there. The picture you see in the photo was taken in Thornton's Arcade, a shopping mall in Leeds, England. I was amazed how many shopping malls I saw in Leeds last time. I only went window shopping there with a friend Ross. I thought shopping in England is expensive but you can also find a lot of shops and stores that offer cheap items.

Now I don't have to worry about overweight luggage when I travel because I can already go for online shopping. I also love to shop for bargains or promo items. I guess Buxr is another site where you can find interesting stuffs that are on sale. Being a bargain hunter, I believed I will love this site. Perfect timing because I am searching for some gadgets that I need when I travel like USB flash drive and HB is also looking for a new Motherboard for his netbook. I also found cheap laptops on their hot deals. I want to add this site to my fave list of shopping. You will not only find cheap items here but also online friends. Are you a bargain hunter? Join this site and have fun shopping too! I love that Lenovo netbook but I still need to save for my long vacation back home. have fun viweing the photos here!

Shopping at Folmova in Czech Republic

I guess this will be my last entry for tonight. I am quite tired and sleepy now. We also have to wake-up early tomorrow for a cruise in Danube River. I am quite excited because this will be my first cruise in the second longest river in Europe. It will be a one day trip tomorrow. What else I want to talk tonight? You want something yummy? I guess you have seen the photo of that big chocolate bars here. Does it look tasty? I believed for chocolate lovers like me and my husband, yes it is very delicious. These are only some of the stuffs I shopped during our trip to the Duty Free in Folmova, Czech Republic last time. I will be putting these bars of chocolates inside my Balikbayan boxes. I am just so busy this week that I still did not start packing my boxes. I must start packing it soon so that it will reach home on time for the Holiday season. I am also planning to buy wonka laffy taffy candy but I cannot find it in German stores. I guess I have to tell my sister in Las Vegas to buy it for me. She told me that she will be sending home Balikbayan boxes too. The whole family, friends, relatives and even neighbors will be happy for these presents. I also want to buy more candies for give aways during the Kids Christmas party that I am planning back home.

I can't wait to spend Christmas time again in my home country. It's been six years now that I did not experience Christmas celebration in the Philippines. Some friends are also sending messages and asking the exact time I will go home for vacation. I guess that's all for now. Before I forget I also want to ask if you are still shopping for candies and chocolates for your balikbayan boxes. If you simply love to eat these delicious stuffs, feel free to visit Sugarstand for all kinds of candies and chocolates. Here are also some photos I had during our trip to Folmova in Czech Republic.

Shopping In London, England

I thought that shopping in London is too expensive. of course there are a lot of expensive shops and malls here like the one you see in the picture. This is the famous John Lewis mall in London, England. I had the chance to go inside for window shopping. I am not so sure if they are also selling XBox here. I wish to give it to my nephew who is asking me that gadget long time ago.

I miss London! It's a wish list to go in Europe!
