The Halici Semera Hotel is perched on a hillside, with white washed, chalet style buildings. These buildings are dotted over the hillside, set on different levels, there are steps to reach both the rooms and the hotel facilities. Unfortunately due to these steps this hotel is not recommended for people with walking difficulties or children in push chairs. Although, if you don’t mind a few stairs, the higher up you are the more fantastic the views get, with an awe inspiring panorama.

Finding Unique Souvenirs Like Jewelry When Travelling

Do you buy souvenirs when you travel? Yes, I always do! Some might be trying to find unique souvenirs when they travel. I remember somebody who went somewhere in Africa just to find a heart shaped diamond as engagement ring for her special someone. Isn't it so sweet and thoughtful? How lucky was my friend when she received it. She was really very happy for that very special present. I know for sure, she can't forget that day when she was engaged.

Finding heart diamonds is quite difficult sometimes but with the help of computer and internet, you can already browse a lot of sites that are legally selling these precious stones. For all we know, diamond has very remarkable characteristics. It has superlative qualities, having the highest hardness to the point that is use for cutting glasses and polishing tools.

I also buy jewelries and accessories sometimes. It depends on my budget when I travel. When I visited Spain with a friend last December 2011, we went to a store in Granada, Andalusia that sells women's accessories like earrings, watches, necklaces, rings, bracelet, armlets, etcetera, I told myself not to buy one. When I had a short stop-over in Doha, Qatar last 2006, I also went window shopping. Since jewelries are really cheap in this store in Doha Airport, I ended up buying a 22 carat bracelet. When we went to a jewelry store in Istanbul, Turkey last year, the saleslady told me that the bracelet which I bought in Doha costs a thousand Euros now. Imagine I only bought it for around three hundred euros last 2006.

I always find unique souvenirs when I travel. Hopefully in my next travel to a country that sells cheap diamonds, I would love to have a princess diamond cut. For now, I can only afford postcards, fridge magnet, travel books, shot glasses, plates and other souvenirs that are quite cheap.

If I still have the chance and the finances to travel before the end of 2011, I will for sure do it. And you know where it is? I want to book a holiday to the Caribbean. There are lot of beautiful places to spend a holiday in the Caribbean region. With the all year round good weather in this part of the world, this has been a famous getaway for many tourists from around the globe.

Here are the top places I would love to visit and experience in this region,

Barbados

This is one of the best bet to spend a holiday especially during winter season in Europe. Barbados is known for its beautiful beaches and numerous deluxe resorts. It has also a lot of historical sites to visit. This so-called "Little Britain of the Caribbean" uses English as its official language. This simply means that travelling to Barbados is easy and convenient due to the fact that English is widely spoken here.

Don't miss the Atlantic Submarine and Segways Tours in Barbados. Surfing and diving are also some of the famous watersports in this area. If you want to enjoy the nightlife, you can go nightclubbing at the beach bars.

Antigua

I am looking to go to Antigua in my next vacation. Why not? I was dreaming to go to Turkey, Hungary, England, France, Austria, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and some other countries and it did slowly come true. Coupled with hardwork and determination, I was able to visit different places in these countries.

Many tourists enjoyed their vacation in Antigua. It is considered to be a beautiful vacation getaway not only because of its peaceful surroundings but also because of its nice beaches and interesting island culture. Feel free to include scuba diving and sailing in your itinerary. Don't miss to visit Nelson's Dockyard as well.

Cuba

I had received a lot of travel packages to Cuba. I cannot book it this year because I already booked other places to visit. I wish to include it in my 2012 travel itinerary.

Cuba is the largest and most populous island in the Carribean. With its tropical climate, Cuba has been a major tourist destination in this region. Clubbing, going to the beach, a tour in the countryside, are only some of the activities you can do there. Expect to hear a lot of Carlos Santana music everywhere. If you have the chance, go visit Tropicana. Also taste the different fresh juices in the markets.

One of these days, I know I will step on the beautiful places in the Caribbean.

Sometimes traveling or taking a vacation in Europe can be very expensive. As a frequent traveler, I already had a lot of experience to share about my travels in this continent. Looking for a Place to Stay During Your Vacation

Me and my friend have been looking for a place to stay during our incoming Europe adventure this coming summer. We have been searching for cheap flights, hotels and bus trips because we will be visiting a lot of European cities this time. I wish I can stay in one of the luxury phuket hotels in my next vacation but we will be touring Europe again this summer. Don't you know that looking for a place to stay when spending your vacation can sometimes be very difficult especially if you are considering your finances. But sometimes you can also treat yourselves especially if you are working too hard and wish to have a quite luxurious holiday.

This is a special post this time because I am featuring a luxury hotel in Phuket, Thailand. This is one of the places that I wish to visit in this country. That is also the reason why I just browsed Avista, a resort and spa in Kata, Phuket. As I entered a date sometime in October 2010 , I found out that the rates are quite reasonable. Imagine for only 3,500 THB which is around 87.00 Euros per night anytime in October of this year. That is quite cheap! I was even browsing a bed and breakfast room in Rome and I found some that cost from 70.00 to 100.00 Euros per night and the rooms are very small and without a lot of facilities.

With the luxury rooms that they have in Avista, for sure it is a cozy place to stay. The rooms are also huge and very relaxing because each has its own private balcony. Restaurants, pool bar, spa, gym, swimming pool and more are only some of their facilities. I guess this is quite a nice place to stay for a luxurious vacation. I wish to visit it one day. Is There Really a Thing Called Travel for Free?

Is there really a thing called "travel for free"? I visited a site before wherein the author mentioned that at this time there is no such thing called travel for free. I guess I have to deviate with what the author had shared about traveling for free. There are so-called teens volunteer summer programs that are sometimes offering free travel and accommodation. I met last year a friend online who went to Germany and her plane ticket and accommodation were shouldered by her sponsor. She had to stay in this country for three months to help built a museum somewhere in Bavaria, Germany. In return for her free travel, she has to work help build that museum. She told me that during their free weekend, they visited other cities in Germany and the neighboring countries. She even visited her Aunt in Italy that time.

You can also travel for free when you probably win a promotion entitled you for a free vacation. You can also travel for free when a member of your family shoulders your travel expenses. right folks? Just last week, I also visited a site called Vision Service Adventures who provides teen summer program locations. Their site offers international summer program where you can visit other countries for adventure, sightseeing, learning languages, knowing people and their culture or simply have fun. They have interesting program locations such as Alaska, Vietnam, Dominica, Peru, Ecuador and a lot more. This site is quite interesting. I want to browse more in its site later.

If you also notice that I have been to different parts of the globe already. I would say that I sometimes travel for free or partly free. I guess I will reveal my secret soon.
