Be Careful Driving During Winter

Winter is fine but when it is snowing so hard and you are driving elsewhere, it can be very dangerous. This is true especially when it snows continuously. I already had a lot of driving experiences during snow time. I am always thankful when I arrived home safely. It just makes me feel sad when I heard accidents on the road during this season. I already witnessed some and it is really tragic.

 I hope that you all have your winter tires on. I mean especially those who have snow season. For anything you need like winter tires, shaft collars and any other hardware and car accessories, I believe you already know where to get it. Snowing in Winter Wonderland

It was snowing again this afternoon. It did snowed last Saturday but everything melted last Sunday. I know some are happy when the snow falls down but some are not especially for those who need to wake-up early in the morning to drive to their workplace. Sometimes it is very dangerous when the roads get icy and slippery. Better be careful when driving.

For me is not a problem because I am a stay at home person. When there are no appointments or no need to go somewhere I just stay at home all the time. When the snow lies outside, I want to know the temperature too. That is the reason why I need one of those outdoor thermometers that I can place outside our door. I want to know how cold it is. I am quite sure that the snow won't melt when the temperature is below zub-zero. I love watching the white surroundings during snow time but when it is very cold outside I rather stay inside our home. At least one of my dreams come true...to experience a snowy winter wonderland.

I always love passing this road in our place in Bavaria, Germany especially when it is snowing. Isn't it like in a fantasyland?

Winter in Hohenfels

I know that there are some people who don't like winter time. This is the season of the year when the weather is very very cold. In fact, freezing cold that range below zero temperature. As long as the heater inside our house is working, I still love winter season. It has its own beauty which only nature can explain. I heard some people who get depress during cold gray winter. I guess they don't need to worry because there is an anxiety depression treatment for them. I felt sad to a friend who told me that she gets depress during winter time. She just need to do something which will divert her time to help her about her depression. I am thankful that no matter what season of the year it is, I still manage to do things that makes me happy and forget about depression.

Winter Trip to Gut Aiderbichl in Salzburg, Austria

It is almost two years now since me and my friend visited the Animal Sanctuary in Gut Aiderbichl in Salzburg, Austria. It was my first winter trip to Austria and it was a nice experience. The Aiderbichl Animal Sanctuary has more than a thousand of animals in their farms. The founder's name is Michael Aufhauser and yes, I had seen him in person during our visit last November 2008. Here you can find rescued animals of all kinds. Gut Aiderbichl is such a perfect paradise for these animals.

Cold Freezing Winter in Germany

My husband had been telling me about the weather in Germany while I was still on vacation in the Philippines. He said that since 25 years that he live in our place now, this is the first time that it is always snowing so hard. Can you imagine a very high file of snow outside our house now? I forgot to take a picture of my husband's car which was already covered with snow. He was using my car when I was away on vacation. I am also trying to adjust to the weather right now. I hope that I will also feel better after being caught by bad cough during my vacation. Sometimes when it is very cold, we feel that our face is getting some wrinkles. I gave my anti wrinkle lotion to my sister before I flew back to Germany last Saturday. I need to buy a new one tomorrow when we go for grocery shopping. I also need to visit our doctor for some medical check-up. I hope my bad cough will be away soon. The picture above was taken yesterday in one of the small villages we happened to pass-by while on our way home from the airport. I guess you can imagine now how cold our weather is. Better star warm all the time when you live in a place like this.

It's Snowing in Germany

Good morning! Here is the night owl again sharing some photos from the earliest snow that she experience in her whole life in Germany. Last Thursday as I went grocery shopping, it was already snowing but not so much. Yesterday it was snowing quite hard. This is the earliest snow that I experience in our place after six years of living here. We have been turning sometimes our electric heater. Another wooden heater is also running from afternoon until midnight or till I go to sleep. I simply love the warm of the wooden heater or fireplace compared to electric. HB also ordered a pellet-oven for use as heating. I guess it is economical compared to electric heater. Imagine we saved around a thousand Euros a year as we started to use our fireplace. In a few days, we might have already the pellet- oven or heater that HB ordered. I need to stay warm in this very cold season.

Winter Trip to Gut Aiderbichl in Austria

Yesterday was the hottest day in Germany and it was really very hot. That is the reason why I am posting some pictures from the snow of Austria last year to cool us off! wink! This was taken in Gut Aiderbichl during my winter trip last November 2008 with a friend. It is nice being with nature and animals for sometime. Winter in Europe

It is winter time now in Europe. It was snowing so hard the past days. You can see the evidence anyway. what do you think? hehehe..This is especially true in Bavaria which is the biggest state of Germany. I believed winter has its own beauty too despite of being cold. Winter is Almost Coming!
