The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Paris in France
The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Paris, commonly known as Sacre -Coeur Basilica is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica. It is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Paris, France. It is also a popular landmark in Paris. It is located on the top of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city.
I took this image during my second visit in Paris with a friend last August 2010.

I should use Nikon binoculars to have a better look of this historical building. We just stayed in this square watching the basilica because we don't have much time for going up to the hill for sightseeing. I also read that taking pictures inside the basilica is forbidden.

Notre Dame in Paris, France
I just shared an image from our cruise in Seine River in Paris, France in my previous post. You can also find in the background of that image Notre Dame Cathedral. I have again another picture of this famous architecture in Paris taken at daytime. It is also known as Notre Dame de Paris or Our Lady of Paris. It was one of the first Gothic cathedrals, and its construction spanned the Gothic period. Its sculptures and stained glass show the heavy influence of naturalism, unlike that of earlier Romanesque architecture.

Lastly, I hope that my computer will function good again or else I might ended up buying a new laptop computer. I already mentioned it to hubby and he said anytime this year I will have a new one. I am currently using my small netbook which I found very inconvenient because of its small keyboard. Feel free to browse my categories here for more images of Paris.

Travel and Entertainment Goes Together
How did you find my post title today? Do you believe that traveling is also entertaining yourself? I hope you agree with me! I do really find travel and entertainment always goes together. This is especially true if I find a place very interesting and offers a lot of scenic spots. While looking and experiencing at a certain place, I felt happiness deep within. Of course, there are a lot of entertainment being offered when you travel. You might have a trip to watch an opera, go for bingo, musical, rides or other forms of entertainment. If you can't afford to travel, you can also entertain yourself at home. Have you heard about Slots Rev? I guess this is a very interesting site to have fun at home.If you haven't read about this you can also visit slots wiki for more information. I got some knowledge about this during my vacation in Las Vegas last year. I even remember the first time I played slot machines and won 5 dollars for the my first try. I was so happy that time and playing is also very enjoyable. Since I just stay at home now, I guess I can entertain myself by playing online. I wish to browse more about slot machine types - slotsrev.com. I just visited this site and found it interesting for home entertainment. I might try playing as well. If you want to have fun just in the comfort of your home, why not? Your very welcome to visit their site. How about trying the penny slots first! I wish you a lot of fun at home!
FYI: The Eiffel Tower was taken in Paris, Las Vegas during my vacation last year! I miss Vegas!

Cruising at Seine River in Paris, France
Have you been to Paris, France? Did you experience cruising at Seine River? I was there! We had an unforgettable cruise at Seine River and was able to see Paris by night. The bad thing was that most lights were turned-off due to Paris participation on Earth Day last Saturday. The Eiffel Tower had dim lights compared to its normal lights being lit every night. At least Eiffel Tower was not totally in darkness. It was still a great experience cruising at Seine River. I will share more from our trip to Paris tomorrow. have a great evening to all!
thanks to my dear husband who took a lot of photos during our trip to Paris last Saturday March 28, 2009. In the background is the Eiffel Tower which was dimly lighted due to Paris participation in Earth Day.
The Seine River in Paris, France
The Seine (pronounced [sɛn] in French) is a slow flowing major river and commercial waterway within the regions of Île-de-France and Haute-Normandie in France and famous as a romantic backdrop in photographs of Paris, France. It is also a tourist attraction, with excursion boats offering sightseeing tours of the Rive Droite and Rive Gauche within the city of Paris. It terminates in the Bay of the Seine region of the English Channel and is navigable by oceanic transports about ten percent of its length to Rouen, 120 km (75 miles) from the sea, whereas over sixty percent of its length from Burgundy near the Swiss Alps is negotiable by commercial riverboats and nearly its whole length is available for recreational boating.
There are 37 bridges over the River Seine just within Paris and dozens more spanning the river outside of the city. Examples in Paris include the Pont Louis-Philippe and Pont Neuf, the latter which dates back to 1607. Outside of the city, examples include the Pont de Normandie, one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world, which links Le Havre to Honfleur.
